I was absolutely thrilled when we finally landed at Heathrow yesterday morning. The plane ride was absolutely terrible and took all night, but surprisingly, adjusting to the British style of life has been hard on me: much harder in fact than I imagined. Already in one day, I have entered the hostile stage and found myself angry and already missing the U.S. It was near impossible for me to sleep last night, as it was my first night here. That makes three nights where I really haven't slept, which has also taken its toll on my attitude. I'm trying to enjoy this beautiful country, and I know I will eventually love everything about it, but it may just take me a while to get there. That said, Regent's College is absolutely beautiful in every way, and it is within walking distance of Baker St. and Regent's Park. I'll keep powering through and finally will be able to settle in properly. Until then, I am just going to take it day by day and try to relax.
